+Supplies
+Itinerary changes
- The itinerary may change because of weather, ferry or flight schedules, venue availability, local events, or the safety and wellbeing of participants.
- We replace a changed or cancelled activity with one of similar value wherever possible.
- The length of the camp and what the price includes are not reduced.
- A change to an essential feature is handled as described in the general booking terms.
+Arrival and departure
- Participants land in Athens by 11:00 on 14 July 2027 and fly home on 28 July 2027 (at the airport by 11:00).
- Flights, accommodation and all travel within Greece are booked separately by the family, for example through one of our travel partners.
- We send every family the camp's meeting times and places.
+Not included: what you arrange and bring
- Plane tickets to Athens and home
- Accommodation, ferries, transfers and excursions in Greece, which families book separately (our travel partners can arrange them)
- Passports, visas and other entry requirements
- Travel and medical insurance (required)
- The ChatGPT Plus subscription, about US$20 for one month (required)
- A free Perplexity account (required)
- Alcohol
- Any spending beyond the per diem cards
- Not sold by us: travel to, from and within Greece, accommodation and excursions are not part of the camp. Travel companies sell them in their own name and under their own terms; our travel partners offer exactly what the camp needs.
- Required: so that our educators can supervise the participants, every participant stays at the group's accommodation and travels with the group between Athens and Naxos.
- Group rates: our travel partners hold group rates for the group's accommodation, ferries and transfers, so booking through them is the simplest way to meet this requirement.
- Your choice: you don't have to book through our travel partners. You can book the same accommodation and travel directly or through any other company, as long as the participant stays and travels with the group.
- The travel company's responsibility: the travel services it sells, including changes, cancellations, refunds and protection against its insolvency. Complaints about them go to that company.
- Our responsibility: the training, and the supervision of participants by our educators throughout the camp, including during group travel.
Every participant must have travel and medical insurance for the whole stay in Greece, bought by the family before departure.
- Required cover: at least medical and hospital treatment and emergency return home (repatriation).
- Strongly recommended: trip cancellation and interruption, lost or stolen belongings (including the laptop and phone) and personal liability.
- Send us: the policy number and the insurer's emergency phone number, at least 30 days before departure.
- EU residents: also bring the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
A participant without proof of insurance cannot take part, and the cancellation fees apply.
- ChatGPT Plus: a parent approves and pays (under 18)
- Perplexity (free, required): a parent accepts the terms (under 18)
- Free Notion account
- Free Google account
+Laptop: minimum requirements
Every participant brings their own laptop and charger. Minimum requirements:
- Operating system: Windows 11 or the latest macOS
- Processor: Apple M1, Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Storage: 256 GB SSD
- Battery: 6 hours
- Unlocked smartphone that can share its connection (Greek SIM card included)
- European plug adapter (type C/F)
- 2–3 pocket notepads and pens
- A thermal lunch bag for picnics
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Boots or running shoes and jeans for the farm days
- Bathing suit and beach towel
- Lots of sunscreen and a hat
- Send food requirements at least 30 days before the camp
+Price and payment
- €3,750 per participant, priced and paid in euros.
- It includes the per diem cards (€125 for the Naxos week and €35 a day plus €30 in Athens) and a Greek SIM card.
- Amounts shown in other currencies are a guide only and change with the exchange rate.
- 50% of the price as a deposit, charged on day 15 after you sign the contract, once your 14-day withdrawal period has ended. From then on the deposit is non-refundable.
- The balance is due no later than 30 days before the camp starts, that is by 14 June 2027.
- Within 14 days of signing you can withdraw and get everything back.
- After that the deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel later: up to 13 June 2027 (more than 30 days before the camp starts), we keep the deposit and refund anything else you have paid; from 14 June 2027 there is no cash refund, and everything you have paid becomes a credit for one of our programmes, valid until 14 September 2028 and transferable only to a brother or sister of the participant.
- If we cancel the camp, you get a full refund of everything you paid.
- The general booking terms explain how to cancel and when no fee is due.
- The price is based on a group of 16 participants.
- If fewer than 16 have enrolled by 15 May 2027, we write to every family within 7 days with the adjusted price per participant.
- Each family then chooses, in writing within 14 days, either to confirm the place at the adjusted price, or to cancel and receive a full refund of everything paid.
- If we decide not to run the camp, every family receives a full refund.
- Refunds are paid within 14 days.
- We never charge an adjusted price without the family's written agreement.
+During the camp
- Tell us about any food requirements (allergies, intolerances, religious or other diets) at least 30 days before the camp starts, that is by 14 June 2027.
- Before the camp, families also tell us about any medical conditions and medicines, and sign a medical consent form so that our staff can get emergency treatment if a parent cannot be reached in time.
- For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian makes the booking and signs.
- Parental consent letter (every participant under 18, from any country): the parents sign a letter naming our staff as the responsible adults during the camp and the group travel in Greece, with a copy of a parent's passport. We send it with the booking documents. Return it at least 30 days before departure. A participant under 18 without the signed letter cannot take part.
- Proof of insurance: required for every participant, see Travel and medical insurance.
- Participants resident in Brazil: to leave Brazil without both parents, they also need the parents' travel authorisation (with notarised signatures, or electronic through e-Notariado) naming the adult they travel with. Families arrange it before booking flights.
- Families arrange any other travel documents their country requires.
- Participants aged 18 or over are expected to learn leadership skills by acting as team leaders: they help our staff and assist younger participants during the activities.
- They remain participants: the supervision of participants under 18 stays with our educators.
- They follow the same house rules.
- Stay with the group. Our educators supervise participants during the camp. Participants leave the group only with a staff member's permission.
- Follow the daily schedule, including the lights-out times set in it.
- Alcohol. Participants under 18 do not buy or drink alcohol (Greek law). The camp and the per diem cards never pay for alcohol. Nobody buys or gives alcohol to a participant under 18.
- No illegal drugs. Participants under 18 do not smoke or vape.
- Swimming only at the places we choose, with staff present.
- Respect everyone: other participants, staff, hosts and partners. No bullying, harassment or discrimination. Look after rooms and property; the family pays for damage a participant causes.
- Per diem cards are each participant's budget. If a participant spends more than the card, we advance the extra so they are never left short; the family repays it within 60 days.
- Health. Take your own medicines as prescribed and tell staff at once if you feel unwell or are hurt.
- If a rule is broken, we first give a warning and tell the parents. If a participant seriously endangers themselves or others, we contact the parents and may, as a last resort and after consulting them, arrange the participant's return home at the parents' cost.
- We are responsible for the services in the camp as explained in the general booking terms ("Our liability").
- We are not responsible for:
- the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings, including laptops, phones and money
- injury, illness, loss or damage caused by a participant's own actions, including not following staff instructions or the house rules
- acts of third parties unconnected with the services we provide, or unforeseeable and unavoidable events
- activities the family arranges outside the camp's programme
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it, in particular for death or personal injury caused by our fault.
+General booking terms (every programme)
Before you book we send you the programme description (dates, places, training content, meals and activities included, group size, language), the total price including VAT and all charges, the payment schedule, the minimum group size, travel-document and health requirements, and insurance information. This information becomes part of your contract.
- You ask for a place through our contact form, by email or by phone.
- We send you the offer and these terms. Check the details; tell us if anything is wrong and we correct it before you accept.
- You accept the offer in writing (email or signature) and pay the deposit.
- We confirm your booking by email without delay, with your contract on a durable medium (PDF). We keep a copy of the contract and send you another one on request.
Contracts are available in Greek and English, and in French or Portuguese where we offer them. If the language versions of your contract differ, the Greek version prevails, except where the law of your country requires the version in your country's language to prevail. Families resident in Brazil always receive the offer and the contract in Portuguese, and for them the Portuguese version prevails.
Prices are per person and include VAT and every charge listed in the offer. The deposit, the balance and their due dates are set in each programme's own booking terms. We do not charge different prices or terms because of your nationality, place of residence or the country of your bank card.
The price confirmed in your booking does not increase after you book.
We do not sell travel services. Flights, accommodation, transport and excursions are sold by travel companies, including our travel partners, in their own name and under their own terms; they are not part of your contract with us. The travel company is responsible for the services it sells, including changes, cancellations, refunds and protection against its insolvency, and complaints about them go to that company. Each programme's own booking terms say what participants need to arrange (for example staying at the group's accommodation) and which travel partners can arrange it.
Our travel partners are independent travel companies. They sell flights, accommodation, transfers and excursions for our programmes in their own name and under their own terms (see Travel and accommodation). Choose the partner for the region you travel from. We receive no commission or referral fee from our travel partners: each of us is paid only for our own part, and you are free to book with anyone else.
Partner to be announced. Write to us and we will put you in touch with the travel partner for your country.
14 days to change your mind. You can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of signing it, without giving a reason, and we refund everything you have paid. We charge the deposit only after these 14 days, on day 15.
From day 15 after you sign, the deposit is non-refundable. You can still cancel at any time before the programme starts by writing to us:
- More than 30 days before the start: we keep the deposit and refund anything else you have paid.
- 30 days or fewer before the start: there is no cash refund. Everything you have paid becomes a credit for a The World Can Be Yours programme, valid for 14 months from the start date of the programme you booked. The credit can be passed only to a brother or sister of the participant.
We never keep more than you have paid. You pay no fee if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances where the programme takes place or nearby (for example a natural disaster, epidemic or serious security problem) significantly affect the programme. We refund what is due within 14 days.
You can transfer your booking to someone who meets the programme's conditions (for example the age range), if you tell us at least 7 days before the start. You and the new participant are jointly responsible for the balance and any reasonable extra cost of the transfer, which we tell you in advance.
We may make minor changes and will tell you clearly. If we need to change an essential feature, or cannot meet a special request we accepted, we tell you without delay; you can accept the change or cancel with a full refund.
We may cancel if the programme's minimum group is not reached, telling you within the notice period set in its own booking terms, or because of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. You then get a full refund within 14 days. If we cancel a programme for any other reason, you also get a full refund of everything you paid within 14 days.
Tell our staff at once if something in the programme is not as agreed, so we can fix it; if we cannot, you may be entitled to a price reduction or compensation. Problems with travel or accommodation go to the travel company that sold them; our staff help participants contact it. We help participants who are in difficulty, including with health services.
Participants follow the programme's house rules, set in its own booking terms.
Participants need a valid passport or ID card and any visa their nationality requires; we tell you the general requirements before you book. Insurance requirements are set in each programme's own booking terms.
We are responsible for providing the training and the other services of the programme that we sell, as agreed, including the supervision of participants by our staff. We are not responsible for travel services (flights, accommodation, transport, excursions) sold by travel companies, including our travel partners; the company that sold them is responsible for them. Our liability is limited only as far as the law allows, and never for personal injury or for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. For residents of Brazil, nothing in these terms limits rights under the Brazilian Consumer Defence Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor).
Send complaints to privacy@theworldcanbeyours.com or our local staff; we answer within 14 days. If we cannot agree, you can turn to the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή), Alexandras Ave. 144, 114 71 Athens, Greece, tel. +30 210 6460862, www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr, or, if you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre there. If you live in Brazil, you can also bring proceedings in the courts where you live, and contact the Procon of your state or consumidor.gov.br. Governing law and courts: see our terms of use.
